Is Moto G 3rd gen 2015 Worth the Money?

Motorola Moto G is the most important phone for Motorola. Motorola Moto G 3rd generation is the flagship phone for Motorola. In fact, Motorola Moto G is company’s most sold phone to date. The 3rd gen Moto G is out. But is Moto G 3rd gen 2015 worth the money? Let’s find out!

The key features of Motorola Moto G 3rd generation are as follows:

  • 5″ 720p HD Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC
  • 1GB RAM in 8GB Model
  • 2GB RAM in 16GB Model
  • 13MP Rear Facing Camera
  • 5MP Front Facing Camera
  • 1080p Video recording @30FPS
  • Android Lollipop 5.1.1

The specs sheet looks quite good for a phone that costs less than $200, right? But what you need to keep in mind is that the base $179 Moto G 3rd gen comes with only 1GB of RAM with 8GB Internal Storage. If you want to bump the spec up to 2GB of RAM, you will have to cash-in $40 more. So, the top of the line Moto G 3rd gen will set up back for $219.

But for $219 dollar, you can get some other tempting phones like the Asus ZenPhone 2 ($199 at the moment). Asus ZenPhone 2 even has a 1080p display which is way better than the 720p display found in the Moto G 3rd gen. But apart from that, there is no reason not to get the Motorola Moto G 3rd generation.

The best thing we like about the Motorola Moto G 3rd gen is the great design Motorola always delivers. In addition to that, you get a near stock Android experience which is another great feature. The camera is also borrowed from the Nexus 6 so you can expect an amazing camera experience too. The 1080p Full HD footage recording is also another great feature.

All in all, we really love the Motorola Moto G 3rd generation. We highly recommend this phone. We also think it is the best mid-range phone for under $200. The great software as well as hardware experience makes this out all-time favourite phone. The battery backup of this phone is just as good!
